Suspect in Orillia hit and run believed to live in Beaverton or Brechin: Police

Police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of the vehicle or owner of the vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit and run to come forward.

Orillia OPP say on July 13, at approximately 6:45 p.m. a truck entered a parking lot at an Atherley Road business in Orillia and struck another vehicle. The driver of the 2017 black GMC Sierra with decals on the back was seen on camera leaving the scene.

Police were able to get a licence plate number and have identified the owner of the vehicle. Police have attempted to get in contact with the owner but say he is avoiding police.

The suspect is believed to be residing in the Beaverton or Brechin area. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the vehicle owner police are interested in speaking to this individual regarding the circumstances surrounding the collision.
