Brock’s Big Bite back in Cannington this weekend
The eighth annual Brock’s Big Bite is back in Cannington this Saturday (Aug. 11) and the festival of food and friends promises to serve up fun for the whole family.
Although the location has changed from last year — this year’s event takes place in MacLeod Park — admission to the community celebration remains free.
Starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m., attendees can expect and activities for all ages, including the traditional “long lunch” from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.., as well as live music. Community members are also invited to use the water bottle refill station to keep hydrated for the day.
Local artists and artisans will be featured in the vendor marketplace, “ready to entice you with goods that they have grown, baked or created,” according to organizers.
The silent auction table will also be open throughout the duration of the day.
Draw tickets, for a chance to win a prize, are available to those who purchase a lunch ticket or complete a short survey.
