Police seeking public’s help after 16-year-old reportedly assaulted in Uxbridge
Investigators are asking the public to help identify the person responsible for an assault that reportedly sent a 16-year-old to hospital yesterday.
On Tuesday (July 24) at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers were called to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital regarding a 16-year-old male with multiple injuries. He was later taken to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for further tests and treatment, but has since been released.
Police say the 16-year-old was spending the evening drinking with friends at various locations in Uxbridge, including a park, a friend’s house, as well as visiting some downtown restaurants. At approximately 12:30 a.m. police allege the male was assaulted by an unknown person or persons just west of the laundromat on Reach Street. He woke a short time later in a pool of blood and made his way to a nearby house for assistance.
