Kayaker found dead on Lake Simcoe was a 60-year-old Toronto man

Police have released few details about the death of a 60-year-old man from Toronto on Lake Simcoe Sunday (June 17).

According to police, residents were out walking their dogs near Thorah Centennial Park around 8 p.m. when they discovered the victim on the shoreline of Lake Simcoe along with his yellow kayak.

 The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital where he was  pronounced deceased.

“A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” reads a media release.
