Pefferlaw man arrested for impaired driving with seven-year-old in the vehicle
A 38-year-old Pefferlaw man is facing impaired driving charges after being arrested with his seven-year-old daughter in his vehicle Saturday (june 16) evening.
Officers responded to the Cannington area around 7:30 p.m. after the alleged impaired suspect left a residence in his vehicle with his child. Police were able to locate the vehicle in Pefferlaw and the driver was taken into custody. The young passenger was not injured.
The 38-year-old man, who has not been identified to protect the identity of the child, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceed 80 mgs and was released on a promise to appear.
