A Sunderland singer is celebrating the release of her first orginal music video.
Carley Hope, a Grade 11 student at Brock High School, released a video ‘One for Me’ — the first single off her upcoming second album.
“It’s an amazing feeling being able to finally release a music video for one of my originals and the support from everyone who participated in the video is incredible.”
She wrote the song with producer Brett Simmonds and Matthew ‘7 Keyz’ Cooke.
“This song is actually really emotional. It tells a story about a girl who leaves because she believes she can find something better out in the world but then realizes that he’s the one for her.”
In addition to the music video, Hope is releasing the song on a variety of download and streaming services.
“The song is available on YouTube right now but it will be on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and any other music source very soon so be sure to look out for it.”
Hope released a video for her cover of ‘I’ll be Home’ by Meaghan Trainor last December and hit the stage with Leah Daniels and Beverley Mahood for a holiday concert at the Sunderland Town Hall later that month.
Her YouTube channel includes a few other cover songs, along with other original tracks that she’s recorded.
