Comedy show coming to Sunderland during Maple Syrup Festival
A live stand-up comedy show is sliding into Sunderland this April, the same weekend of the Maple Syrup Festival.
Hosted by Jeremy Yaksich, a former resident of Sunderland, the show is said to feature some of the funniest comedians from across Canada.
Headlined by comedian Jamieson Donnell, Earl of Comedy Maple Syrup Edition features Andrew Cholfe, Tamara Shevon, Ian Fergus, Liam Kelly and Greg Hall.
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online through their Facebook Page or by contacting Ryan Williams of the Legion by calling 905-852-8500.
The age-of-majority show runs from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Sunderland Legion on April 7.
Though not officially associated, the comedy show lands smack in the middle of the popular Maple Syrup Festival, which runs April 7 and 8.
Though the opening ceremonies aren’t until 9:45 a.m., the Maple Syrup Festival starts at 8 a.m. on the Saturday with the all-day pancake breakfast. Activities throughout the weekend include a pizza eating contest, performance by the Sunderland Lions Community Theatre Group, the annual bathtub races, horse and wagon rides, tours of Harlaine Maple Products and much more.
