The annual Shoot for Hoot fundraising ball hockey tournament is set to return on May 5.
Held in memory of Ron Harris and presented by the Beaverton Lions Club, the sixth annual fundraiser should feature upwards of 200 participants with games on three rinks.
Registration is now open at a cost of $400 per team, though the tournament is expected to fill up fast.
It gets underway at 8 a.m. and will likely run until 7 p.m. at the Beaverton Thorah Community Centre.
As proceeds from the event will support the Lions Club’s community projects, residents are invited to drop in to watch the action and grab some refreshments at the barbecue and beer garden.
