Omemee man charged in connection to fatal Georgina crash last September
A 26-year-old man from Omemee faces charges in connection with a double fatal collision in the Town of Georgina.
On Sept. 19, 2017, shortly after 2 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Ravenshoe Road, just east of Woodbine Avenue. Investigators determined that a total of seven vehicles were involved including a black Honda Civic, a blue Dodge Caravan, a silver Chevrolet pick-up truck, a white cube van, a silver Kia Rio, a second silver Chevrolet pick-up truck and a grey Hyundai.
When officers arrived on scene, the located two occupants of the Hyundai, an elderly man and woman, both deceased at the scene.
The driver of the black Honda Civic, a 26-year-old man from Omemee, was taken to hospital with critical injuries and has since recovered. On Feb. 20 he was arrested and has been charged.
Evan Little, 26, of Omemee is charged with two counts of Dangerous Driving Causing Death.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on March 14.
