The Beaverton Legion is set to reopen one day after a break-in.
Though details have not been released, the organization confirmed the break-in through social media Wednesday (Feb. 21) morning.
“The Legion was broken into early this morning, Durham Regional Police are investigating and we will announce our reopening as soon as we are able,” the post reads.
“We have been asked not to discuss the matter further until police have completed their work. Thanks for your understanding.”
After being closed for the day, the branch will reopen Thursday (Feb. 22) members confirmed in a follow-up post.
“We thank everyone for their messages, support and offers of help, it means a lot to us.”
