Members of the Optimist Club of Uxbridge are looking for someone to take a few (thousand) rubber ducks off their hands.

An online advertisement by the club features 4,749 rubber ducks listed at a price of $2,000.

The post explains that the organization successfully ran a duck derby fundraiser for several years and is now “passing the opportunity on to the next lucky ducks.”

“All our ducks are numbered and sorted into bags for ease of sorting by ticket number. We are also including all our duck race equipment (i.e. four hip waders, duck scoop, duck costume, duck umbrella, end gate as well as some other miscellaneous items),” it continues.

All proceeds from the sale will go to the Optimist Club of Uxbridge and will be used in support of local youth initiatives.
