Firefighters from Brock and Ramara joined police officers from Durham and York to spend nearly five hours searching for the man.
While few details have been released, Brock Township Fire Chief said the man had last been seen earlier today in the area south and west of Thorah Island.
In an email shortly after 3 a.m., Chief Harrison told The Brock Voice that the man had been located.
