Beaverton Lions Winter Carnival offers a day of family fun

Beaverton will be abuzz with fun on Feb. 3 as families flock to the community for the Beaverton Lions Winter Carnival.

The day starts bright and early with a pancake breakfast and bake sale at Beacan Presbyterian Church and includes a silent auction at the Town Hall and lunch at the Meeting Place.

Over at Old Mill Gate Park, carnival goers can slip down ice slides, play with Zorb Balls, and have their faces painted. Attendees can also take their best shot at mini golf, try their hands at tug-of-war and participate in the scavenger hunt. Kids looking for even more competition can take part in the donut eating contest.

Warm up with a barbecue lunch, hot beverages and warming stations.  To top it off, why not take in a horse-drawn wagon ride through town?

Community members are also invited to take to the ice at the Beaverton Arena for a family skate from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m..
