The OPP is investigating a snowmobile accident in Ramara Township yesterday (Jan. 1) that resulted in injuries to two youths.
According to police, officers and firefighters were dispatched to a collision on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs’ trail in Ramara.
Police say that a preliminary investigation has revealed that the two youths were travelling on the same vehicle when it left the trail. Both were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP are reminding snowmobilers to operate their machines in a safe manner while travelling on trails, lakes and fields.
“Each one of these terrains poses unique risks and drivers must make certain they are safe while participating in this extremely fun winter activity,” reads a press release.
