A fundraising campaign has been established to support the family of Chris MacLeish.

The 43-year-old was found dead in his Buchanan, Virginia home the morning of Dec. 26. He is survived by his wife of nearly 15 years, Angie, and his children, Maddie and Jake.

His father, Dale, said the family has been touched by the outpouring of support from the Brock Township community in the days since.

The fundraising campaign — which has raised more than $2,700 in three days — was set up by family friend Josh Gabrielson.

“It really tears up my heart knowing that she lost her husband Christmas day and that their kids woke up without a father,” his post reads.

“Everything raised here will go to Angie to help pay for some upcoming costs here.  I’m trying to raise a small amount for them but honestly they’re in a dire need of much more. If you can make a small donation, please do.”
