Families in Brock can hit the ice for free over the holidays.
A handful of businesses have once again joined the Township and the Brock Community Health Centre to sponsor free public skating.
The sessions run in Beaverton on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. (sponsored by Township of Brock); Saturday, Dec. 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Tim Hortons); Tuesday, Jan. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Ward 2 Councillor Cyndi Schaffer); Thursday, Jan. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Re/Max Country Lakes Realty); and Friday, Jan. 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Brock CHC).
In Cannington, they will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Tim Hortons); Thursday, Dec. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Township of Brock); Tuesday, Jan. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Tim Hortons) and Thursday, Jan. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Brock Community Health Centre).
In Sunderland, a free skate will be held Friday, Dec. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Tim Hortons) and Tuesday, Jan. 2 (Brock Community Health Centre). The Township sponsored the free skate that was held prior to the Sunderland Santa Claus parade last Saturday (Dec. 11).
All three arenas will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 26 and 31, as well as Jan. 1, 2018.
