Life just got a little easier for Justine Hone of Cannington, who claimed a $50,000 grand prize on an Instant Crossword lottery ticket.
“When I scratched my ticket, I thought I won $10,000 and started crying I was so happy,” she said in a media release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
“When I gave my ticket to the retailer and it showed that I had won $50,000, I collapsed to the floor.”
The 29-year-old continued by saying the lottery win “hasn’t sunk in just yet.”
Hone and her husband will use the money to pay off debts and live life a little easier.
“I will also be paying off my mother’s car because she has helped us out a lot,” she added.
The winning ticket was sold at Cannington Convenience Store on Cameron Street.
