Two taken to hospital following crash near Beaverton

One of the two people involved in a crash near Beaverton on Thursday (Dec. 7) night, says Concession 5 Thorah was covered in black ice, leading to the two-vehicle accident.

As of noon Friday (Dec. 8), Katie McSorley says she’s “okay for now” and “still trying to understand what happened” after the accident the night before.

Although early reports were of a single-vehicle collision, McSorley’s report of the evening’s events indicate otherwise, although for legal and confidentiality purposes, she would rather not divulge further detail.

According to Fire Chief Rick Harrison, two people were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries following the crash. Chief Harrison said a vehicle had apparently left the roadway and rolled over into the ditch. He said occupants were trapped briefly before being extricated and taken to hospital.

The road was closed briefly for a police investigation.
