With winter just around the corner, the Warm Tootsies campaign has fired back up in Brock.

Now in its third year, the campaign aims to collect and distribute an array of winter clothing for local children.

More than 150 items were collected during last year’s campaign, which was also buoyed by a $3,400 grant from 100 Women Who Care in Brock Township and a $250 contribution from the Sunderland Lions Club.

Donations were accepted in Beaverton, Cannington and Sunderland back in September with exchange dates set for all three villages at the tail end of the month.

They will be held at Sunderland Public School (Monday, Oct. 23), McCaskill’s Mills Public School (Tuesday, Oct. 24) and Beaverton Public School (Monday, Oct. 30). All run from 6 to 8 p.m.

While no donations are required to take part, they are certainly welcomed.
