
A Beaverton man faces multiple charges after police say marijuana plants, cocaine and a replica firearm were seized at his apartment.
On Tuesday (Sept. 26), the North Division Target Team of Durham Regional Police launched a drug investigation regarding marijuana plants being grown at an apartment building on Mara Road in Brock Township.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the location Wednesday (Sept. 27) morning and seized five marijuana plants, dried marijuana, a small quantity of cocaine, weigh scales, ammunition and a replica handgun. The suspect was arrested at a separate location, without incident.
Gaige De Finney, 25, of Mara Road in Brock Township is charged with: production of a controlled substance (marijuana) and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and cannabis). He was released on a promise to appear.
