A comedian whose style is described as “off the cuff, improvisational and electrifying” is bringing the laughs to Cannington at the end of the month as a fundraiser for a local ringette team.
Jeff Leeson entered the world of comedy when he was just 14 years old. Now, 17 years later, he is considered by some to be one of the best on the professional circuit.
“With a perfect blend of traditional stand up comedy and long form improv he takes the audience on a journey with him while they witness the show not just being performed but being created right in front of there eyes. something that must be seen live to be believed,” reads Leeson’s website.
On Sept. 30, starting at 8:30 p.m. (doors open a half-hour prior), Leeson is expected to entertain the masses at the Cannington Legion. Tickets cost $15 and are available through Eventbrite and The Locker, a proud sponsor of the event. A dinner and a show package is available for $35.
Proceeds from the comedy night go to the Sunderland Stingerz Ringette Team.
“We are going to make history in Cannington, Ontario,” says Leeson in a promotional video for the event.
“I will see you on Sept. 30.”
