Dare to scare at the 2017 Cannington Haunted Trail and Maze

The Cannington Haunted Trail and Maze is recruiting volunteers who want to help make this year’s event the spookiest yet.

On Oct. 27 and 28, the Haunted Trail and Maze returns to MacLeod Park in Cannington and organizers have issued a call for bodies.

“If you are creative, reliable, scary, enthusiastic and fun, volunteer with us!” Reads the Trail and Maze website.

“We have many opportunities for mature and responsible individuals (15+) to join our Scream Team. (This is) a great way to be engaged with your community while having fun!”

Scream Team positions include scare actors, make-up, gate attendants, attraction attendants, and set-up and teardown. For those aged 18 or older, the Trail and Maze is also looking for zone managers, security and construction or build-out members.

For more information about the positions available, visit CanningtonHauntedTrail.com.

Anyone interested in volunteering should complete the Volunteer Application Form on the event’s website. Questions can be directed to Angela Canavan by calling 705-341-6529 or emailing acanavan@canningtonhauntedtrail.com.

All volunteers, except construction and set-up/tear-down, must attend orientation at MacLeod Park at 11 a.m. on Oct. 14 or 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.

The Cannington Haunted Trail and Maze is a non-profit event. Of all ticket sales, 10 per cent is donated to the Cannington Lions Club and the remaining funds will be used as the budget for the 2018 event.
