
An early morning fire has caused extensive damage to a home on Osborne Street (Regional Road 23) in Beaverton.
According to Brock Township Fire Chief Rick Harrison, the fire was reported by a passerby around 3 a.m. Sunday (July 16).
“No one was home when the fire was called in,” he said in an interview from the scene.
Firefighters from all three Township halls responded, along with a tanker and the aerial unit from Ramara.
“The fire resulted in extensive damage and no cause has been determined at this time,” Chief Harrison said.
Fire officials remained at the scene as of 9 a.m. as the investigation continues.
