
A 59-year-old man from Fergus received life-threatening injuries after a collision between a motorcycle and a truck in Beaverton yesterday (July 8).
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Durham Regional Police responded to a collision at Osborne Street and Thorah Concession 5.
Police say a Ford pickup truck was travelling north on Osborne Street when it collided with a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, travelling west on Thorah Concession 5. The driver of the motorcycle was reportedly thrown from his vehicle.
He was taken to hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto-area trauama centre. Police say the motorcycle driver suffered life-threatening injuries.
The 31-year-old man from Markham who had been driving the pickup truck, as well as his three passengers, remained on scene and were not injured.
The roadway was closed for several hours while police investigated.
