Josh ElliottLocal residents are being asked to help cover the funeral expenses of Josh Elliott, a 21-year-old Cannington man who stabbed to death in Beaverton Friday (May 26) night.

“Taken way too young, Josh Elliott was a kind-hearted, loyal friend who always knew how to make people happy and have a good time. Josh and his contagious smile will be missed by many,” reads a post promoting an online crowdfunding campaign.

“With the support of everyone who knew and loved Josh, we can throw a celebration of life party that we all know he would want. All the remaining funds will be directly donated to relatives to help with funeral costs and other expenses.”

The campaign – which can be found at http://www.gofundme.com/rest-in-peace-josh-elliott – has a goal of raising $1,000.

The investigation into Elliott’s death continues. As of Monday (May 29), police had set up a command post in downtown Beaverton and would like to hear from any witnesses to this incident.
